The best way I can think to explain it is each tweet being like a mass text sent to anyone who wants to look at it. It can be a great way to stalk celebrities, connect with people of common interest that you may not otherwise know IRL, receive a fantastic amount of humor, and not have the annoyances of fb. It's much more simplistic than fb; no games, no stupid woe is me picture sayings, and there is a limit on how much you can say in a tweet. I've been using it for a while, but I've started veering away from fb and back to twitter. It's really less obnoxious, but some celebrities are a little tweet happy. It's easy to unfollow those attention hors. ie: Roseanne Barr and Kevin Smith. Roseanne is bathshit crazy. For real.

right. You can retweet it, quote the same thing, or favorite the same thing. Retweet would be like a share, quoting allows you to basically RT it but add something else much like TB, and favoriting is basically a 'like' on fb.

Oh, and if you want to include someone just type their name and it will automatically start coming up like fb just started utilizing. If you see a period before the @symbol someone has tagged in their tweet, it is so that tweet can be seen more universally, not just by their followers. Celebrities like to do this when they are putting someone on blast.
