Best $3 I've ever spent

I just got to cook my dinner in peace and quiet without a slobbery little boy yelling at me and tugging at my leg.  How did I do it?  I hired this little neighbor girl to play with him and get to know him.  She told me her rate was $4 over the phone, but she would only take $3.  Score!!!

    Oh I used to love being a mothers helper! Much better than actually babysitting.

    We were going to have her start babysitting, I'm looking for someone to babysit for our Christmas party that we are going to, but she's a little young for that.  I was bummed until I realized that I can totally use her for what she just did.

    I scored a built in sitter by procreating with a man who has a 10 year old.  Olivia would totally help you out for free, but she's a little far away from you.

    that is such a great idea! 

    I wish that we had that option... I have nieces but they're 17 and 16 and they're sooo busy with sports & school & work.  Our neighbor girls are only 5 and 8 and although they'd be great just to play with Layla we don't have that kind of a relationship with their parents, well we do, but I would feel weird asking them.

    While I was packing for camping one day I was wondering how my friend gets it done, then I remembered her oldest is ten and can keep her son entertained. I told her next time I need to pack, I am going to borrow her daughter for a few hours.
