My 2yr old DD has a cold and this morning has diarrehea... I'm so worried she is going to get our newborn sick. We don't let her touch the baby's face and hands, and try to wash her hands frequently, but is there anything else I can do other than just hope the newborn doesn't get sick?
Re: STM+ how do you keep a newborn healthy with a sick toddler?
Since Charlotte was born my Kindergartner brought home lice (EW EW EW!), both big kids have had pink eye, and both kids have snotted all over the baby for almost 2 weeks now. We've done a ton of handwashing/hand sanitizer, talked about coughing in our sleeve, and blew kisses to the baby. Somehow she has yet to get any of this.
You do what you can and I just keep reminding myself that any illness that any of my kiddos have/are exposed to just naturally builds their immunity.
