Totally TMI Constipation

I know I'm probably not alone here, but man, it's not going good with this!  I have issues normally and have to eat Activia once a day to be regular but this is so much worse now!  I added Metamucil (RE said both Activia and metamucil were fine) but I'm really nervous for after ET.  I'm going to bring this up on Sunday but anyone else nervous about this?  

Sorry again for the way TMI post...but I warned you...LOL!

    Completely in the same boat! I've been drinking metamucil 3 times/day and today for the first day have felt major relief! You're definitely not alone!

    I didn't get this far because the metamucil kicked in but my RE's office said if need be a suppository could also be used. Fun fun!

    Did you ask your RE about a stool softner? I'd try to get it taken care of so you won't be miserable after ET.

    Well, here's the deal...the metamucil has "kicked in" but (here's more TMI--) it's still not that easy to go to the bathroom..... do you think the stool softener would help with that?  I mean, I guess it's called stool softener...right?? haha!

    I may need to ask about a stool softener.  I'm not constipated but the act has just been a little more difficult than I'd prefer!!  Oh, the fun of IF!!! :)

    Yes, I think the stool softener will help!

    ETA: Even though I felt like I was floating in gatorade I made sure to drink a few glasses of water a day too. I think that helped as far as easing things ups

    Yes, it should help it to be easier. Back before my cycle someone has posted about keeping gas-x and stool softner on hand during IVF & I'm so glad I did! I took both, but didn't think to ask my RE if it was ok.

    Also, I don't know if I would have taken fiber during my cycle. It tends to give me painful gas and there is enough stuff going on in that region!

    I was totally the same way for 3 days or so after ER. I was completely worried about it affecting the ET, but thankfully I took some Colace, ate some fiber one bars, and went for a long walk and on day 3 I was fine! Good luck!
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015
    Baby Will born 8/18. He's perfect.

    Colace: your new best friend!  My doctor actually recommends it after ET so you don't do too much "pushing," and it's apparently safe during pregnancy.  And my clinic is suuuper conservative and don't allow much of anything (no caffeine while cycling, no meds other than tylenol and colace, etc).

    I took the colace daily when on progesterone, as that can stop you up even more! It helped SO much.

    Several Clomid/Femara rounds, then fresh IVF September '12
    Fresh IVF #1: chemical pregnancy, FET #1: ectopic, methotrexate
    FET #2 resulted in our amazing baby boy Levi, born on 11/3/13 at 8 lbs, 5 oz. He is our everything!

    I am late to this party, but when my IVF Nurse called this morning with my fert report she asked if I had had a BM since ER.  When I said no, she told me I needed to add MiraLAX to my drug regimen.  So, there is another drug that's "safe"...

    1/2008 -- Started TTC
    3/2009 - FD discovered at 17 weeks1/2011 - Lap and HSG reveal Stage IV Endo and both tubes blocked. 
    4/2012 - Consult with RE for IVF#1 - Labs and SA are normal - Repeat HSG - SURPRISE! Both tubes are open.
    May, June, August 2012 - IUI#1-3 - Letrozole + Bravelle + Ovidrel trigger = BFN
    9/2012 - Lap#2 to remove endo and Hysteroscopy 
    IVF#1 (Long Lupron) - 12/6 ER - 20R 11F * 12/11 ET - Transferred 2 excellent blasts * 3 Frosties * 
    Beta #1 79.7 * Beta #2 240 * EDD - 8.29.13 * It's a GIRL!
