Ok, I work at a bank. I just had a customer who got mad that I asked for her ID. She said she goes to the other location all the time and they know her, so why does she have to show her ID to cash checks? I told her it was for her protection. She got mad. I told her she could speak to a banker about putting something on her account saying not to ask for ID, but that wouldn't be very secure if someone got ahold of her account number. She's like, "Well, if someone did that, and you cashed it, that would be your fault. I shouldn't have to show my ID!"
Ok, um, really???
Re: Really?!?
Ignore her, she is dumb.
Did she end up showing her ID ?
I'm a regular at my bank and they know me by name. They still make me show ID when I cash checks. If they didn't, I would be not happy.
Awesome.
"I want my money to be totally secure. But I don't want to be inconvenienced in the slightest!"
Yes, I did finally get her ID. She wasn't happy, and she didn't have time to see a banker to put a note on her account, but I don't think they would have anyway.
