Hello ladies. I am very excited to be joining you. I just found out yesterday morning that we are expecting our third. My EDD is August 19th. Which is 2 days before my husbands 30th birthday. :)

My question is, when did you go in for your first OB appt? I called and they aren't seeing me until January 2. That just seems so far away. I am wondering if any ladies have not been seen yet?

    That's when my appointment is (my EDD is Aug 10). My OB usually sees you between 8 and 10 weeks.

    Congrat's & welcome!!  Every OB is different.  They may not be seeing you until then b/c thta's normal for them.  Some see you at 7-9 for a heartbeat and others aren't getting seen until 20 weeks.

    Thanks! You would think I would know, seeing I have two kids. It has been a while since I have been pregnant! :)

    Welcome and congrats!

    I see a midwife at a combined CNM/OB practice. I will have a phone appt with a nurse at 6 weeks to go over my medical history. She will also order blood tests at that time. Then I will see the midwife at 9 weeks. I have seen OBs from the same practice and they follow the exact same schedule.

    i'm due either the 17th or the 19th and they said the same. . my appointment is the 14th.  my ob does between 7-9 , ,

    My midwives don't see anyone until at least 8 weeks (unless you had complications in the past )

    Welcome and congrats!!  My 1st appointment is Dec 18th.  I will be 7w4d then.  My EDD is August 2.

    I'm due 8/12 and my 1st appt is the 19th of this month. I was shocked they got me in that early. Like others said, every office is different.

    My appointment is Jan. 2nd as well. I'm due August 15th. I think that's totally normal. My midwife wouldn't see me before 7 weeks. 

    I'm so excited :) It's not too far away now!!

    My EDD is 8/12. When I called they made my 1st appointment for 12/26 with the NP and my u/s on 12/27. I have a phone consult of 12/18. 

    The wait is driving me a little crazy.

    My EDD is August 15 and I won't be seen until 1/9, 7wk6d.  Really wishing I could get in sooner, but as it turns out, it might be for the better.  I had to sign up this week at work for short term disability, and with the preexisting conditions clause, if the doc documents anything about me knowing I'm pregnant before 1/1/13, I can't get the insurance.
