Headed back to Doctors....

So my poor little Emma is going back to drs office today
We went last Thursday for her 6 month well baby. She had woken up that morning with her eyes very red and goopy. I thought no problem just pink eye. The doctor looked in her ears and saw that she had a nasty double ear infection. Up until that morning she had been completely normal, eating, sleeping. No fever or crying fits.
They put her on amoxicillin and we went home. She behaved normal through the weekend and on Monday morning she woke up with a fever of 104 that I could only bring down to 102. So back to the doctor for us. They saw that her right ear had cleared up but the left was still really inflamed and her throat was raw from the drainage. They changed her antibiotic to a stronger blend of amoxicillin with something called clavulanate. Fever was gone by Tuesday afternoon but she was still not eating solids just nursing. On wedsday morning she woke up with a slight rash that progressed to red blotchy areas all over. Obviously I stopped giving the antibiotics and made an appt. for today. I am worried that they will try yet another medication and her poor little system will be overwhelmed. My poor girl I hope they fix this.
My dh and I were supposed to go away for the night on Saturday for our anniversary. This would be the first time away from both girls since our two year old was born in 2010! Oh we'll best laid plans and all.... We still have hope it's only Thursday! Ha
