OMG do I call someone ?

Just went to the bathroom and there was dark (like poop) brown discharge! Is this something I should worry about?

There was quite a bit of it. I'm worried!

    I would definitely call your doctor or L&D to see what they'd like you to do. Hopefully everything's ok. Good luck!

    Sounds like your mucous plug. I wouldn't call its NBD.

    Did your water break? It could be meconium if your water broke or just a very gross mucous plug.

    Just curious - if all of us told you not to call.. would you not call then?

    If it's something that YOU are worried about, then always call! That's what they're there for :)

    No I don't think my has broken yet. My doctors office is currently closed. Should I call the main hospital ?

    Yes, or if you live nearby you can just stop by to get monitored and see if it was your water. If it was meconium then it's usually a big deal. However, it could just be a very gross mucous plug.

    Well they said it was most likely a mucus plug because I told them I hadn't leaked any fluids and I have no contractions at all.

    I guess that's all. Thank you ladies. Maybe I'll go into labor with in the next few days or something :)

    That's what I thought. Dried blood is brown. My mucous plug was a big brown glob with DS and it was still another 3 weeks before I went into labor. Good luck!

    There is always a nurse on call to answer any questions. They are there so might as well call and make sure everythings okay. Sounds fine, but call just to double check. Sounds like progress though! :)
