18" faux American girl dolls question

My niece wants a fake American girl doll.
Saw our generation at Target and they were nice with storybook and extra outfit.
Then I saw a deal for one at kohls. Dollie and Me brand.
Target it's 32 and comes with storybook. Kohls is 22 and I can get 20 off.
Both say poseable.
Anyone have experience with either of these? Or any advice.

I know Targets dolls are good starter dolls. They are not as nice as american girl in the way that they arent made as well which is understandable.
My nieces use to have the target brand and the worst thing was is their hair gets ratty quickly compared to the american girl doll brand.
My older nieces get american girl doll but the 3 year old is getting the target one because well shes 3. I dont know about the khols brand but walmart has one too.
American girl dolls are the in thing here but my sister buys accessories everywhere.
