So all day yesterday I was having contractions, some more painful than others, but all about 6-7 minutes apart. It started at 4am and started getting worse as the day went on. So I went in to see my doctor at 4pm and she checked me and said I was definitely contracting and was between 2-3cm dilated. So off to the hospital I went!
Unfortunately even though the monitors showed me contracting every 2-3 minutes (and some were about a 7 on my pain scale) they ended up turning me away since I didn't dilate any more after a few hours.
Anyone else go through this in the past? The nurse said she expected to see me back today in "real" labor- but I'm not optimistic.

I had that with my last pregnancy, and it does suck! My OB actually told me to go home and have a glass of wine, and that I'd probably be back the next day...I was HAPPY to follow that advice
I was back 3 days later after my water broke in the middle of the night. I also had my mom make me Scalini's eggplant parm recipe, and while its probably a coincidence, it's worth a shot! It was delicious!
