    I like the pageantry and rivalry in the college game. I just can't get into the NFL. If I didn't play Fantasy Football, I wouldn't even pay attention to it at all.

    I like the pageantry and rivalry in the college game. I just can't get into the NFL. If I didn't play Fantasy Football, I wouldn't even pay attention to it at all.  

    I just can't get into the college game since I grew up in a major city with a Pro Team and our major university was terrible at Football (but good at Basketball and Hockey). Then I went to a D-III college which was even terribler at football. And then I moved to a city that is nuts about pro ball and largely indifferent to college.

    I also think the way the NCAA has historically done bowls and championships is just dumb. It will be marginally better with the playoff system. It's also weird there are like 250 teams but only 20 or so are real contenders from year to year, although some change. And you lose one game and you're basically out of it? That's dumb too.

    I agree with you to a certain extent. I think going to the 4 team playoff will help lift some of the "one loss and you're gone" mentality. 

    I will admit- when I lived in Pro-dominated cities, I did enjoy the pro game a bit more. So I think where you are located has a lot to do with it.

    Yes, it is a good day in Wisconsin!!!

    And Coach Alvarez is taking over the reigns for the Rose Bowl.  I think the Badgers have a great chance to win this Rose Bowl now.

    If you ask people here, they liken it to a girlfriend breaking up with you that you were tired of anyway, so it is a good thing.
