Hi ladies,
I have been thinking about all of the pain and discomfort that I have been feeling lately. I always expected MS (has yet to happen to me), wild emotional outbursts (also, has not yet happened to me), crazy cravings (you guessed it, still hasn't happened to me).
You know what I was never warned about? all of this BS pain and discomfort! I have never heard a woman talk about her tailbone being so sore that it hurt to bend over or sit for long periods of time. Guess what, THAT IS happening to me. My tailbone is driving me crazy!
Also, how about the constipation? I had no clue that was a "thing" until it happened to me. Thankfully I found a new prenatal that I love (it has a built in softener, if you know what I mean) and it is not as much of an issue as it had been.
The cramps are so annoying, I would rather NOT feel like AF was about to visit every single day.
and, yes, my girls hurt too.
ok, I am done with my angry pain rant. I just didn't expect any of this at all!!
Re: nobody ever told me about...
Yep. Pregnancy is painful. It's the most incredible and dangerous thing women do to themselves. And want to do it!
Stool softeners. Tylenol.
Also, it gets worse. Sorry.

I hear you!!! I have none of the symptoms that you mentioned you dont have either, but my hips/tailbone hurt SO BAD. I am a runner/mountain biker and I cant do it anymore because it hurts too bad after the first 5 minutes
ALSO...this was awful...I had a 12 hour plane ride from the US to Germany Monday, and my tailbone hurt SO BAD by the end I had to go stand up by the bathrooms pretending I was waiting in line but wasnt, just so I didnt have to sit anymore. I have to go back tomorrow morning and am absolutely dreading it because of my butt
And yes, constipation here too. Which is weird for me, because I have food allergies and normally I am quite the opposite..ahem...its hard for me to hold it in most of the time.
It is funny, though, because this is all of the stuff you never hear about. I heard about morning sickness, stretch marks, and even the crazy stuff that happens during labor. Never heard about hip pain, constipation, etc. I guess I wasnt expecting it either.
Yes! I completely agree! I of course knew about all of the usual stuff, but the cramps was the biggest surprise. I am getting better, but they still freak me out on an almost daily basis.
I also wasn't expecting my uterus to feel like a balloon randomly through out the evening (doesn't happen during the day). I kind of like it because some symptoms comfort me, I just wasn't expecting it, especially this early. Since baby b is still so tiny, I honestly didn't expect any uterus issues this early.

I'm sorry to say it doesn't get any better in the pain and discomfort department. Stretch as often as possible and stay as active as you are able. That will help reduce the aches and pains. I can't stress enough how water is important. You will feel like absolutely crap if you are dehydrated. Drink drink drink!
LFAF Summer 2016 Awards:
I would say it gets different, but some things will go away. I had terrible, terrible sciatica in my second tri, and that went away in the third. Your hips will hurt much more in the third though.
Once you feel the baby move, everything gets a little easier though.
I second staying really hydrated. With my first pregnancy I drank at least 2 liters of water every day. I was very deliberate about this and had a pretty easy pregnancy.
I'm not complaining at all, I just was expecting to feel SOMETHING ya know?
Until the baby starts kicking you in the tailbone. You are literally getting kicked in the azz.
