17p shots delayed

I am 16 weeks now and was suppose to start the 17p shots, but my doctor dropped the ball. Has this happened to anyone? My cervix is closed and I dont have any symptoms of contractions so I am not really worried. I should just start them at 17 weeks assuming they get the paperwork together. When did you guys start your shots?

Re: 17p shots delayed

  • You should be perfectly fine. My insurance stalled approving them until I was 20w and I have still been ok. My cervix was also closed and long so I wasn't too concerned.

  • Sweet, I think I read they just need to be started between 16 to 20 weeks. I am glad my Dr is monitoring me every week right now. That should keep me from causing a frenzy.
  • I didn't start till 20w and I'm good!

  • I wasn't supposed to start until 19 weeks but I started contracting a lot at 16 so I started them at 17 weeks. If your not contracting a lot I believe the normal time frame to start them is 16 to 20 weeks.
