Daycare blanket size

How big are your blankets for daycare? A starts next week and I don't know what size to send him. He sleeps on a twin bed so his blankets are all that size and J's baby blankets seem too small. I was going to pick up some fleece and make one of the fringe blankets but wonder what dimensions it should be.

    I still send one of G's baby blankets, but have been thinking I need to upgrade to a bigger size.  I think she mostly uses it as a snuggly rather than an actual blanket, but now that it's cold here, she might appreciate a blanket that covers her entire body, huh.

    This is us too (except that it doesn't get cold here).

    C's DC provides blankets but they look crib-sized.  Can you find a light-weight crib quilt or something similar?  Can  you send a nap mat instead?

    On a different note, I know you're a bit anxious about them starting but this is probably a great time to do so!  I know C's classes are smaller right now with the holidays coming so maybe it will be nicer for A and J to ease in.  I'll be thinking of you!

    We don't send a blanket to daycare.  This is C's blankie that he sleeps with at home.  The description says it's 32" x 30".  It's a fair size that covers him, but I wish it was a little bigger.  We actually give him two blankets at night, since he moves around and loses one sometimes.  The other blanket is bigger, but not sure by how much.  It was a handmade gift.

    Thanks we did a trial morning today and A did okay with us leaving him and was all smiles and eating when I picked him up at lunch time. He likes to burrow in his blankets at home so thanks for the size recs! J didn't do the trial but I did get to speak with his teacher some and she gave me homework, some paperwork to fill out about J's routines and such. I'm probably going to shed a tear or 2 on Monday can't believe how big he is.
