Does anyone have their nursery colors or theme picked out already? We just found out it's a girl, and I've always LOVED the color purple so naturally I assumed I'd do a purple nursery theme of some sort.
There's some cute pink/purple butterfly sets that I like okay, but also some pink & brown sets are catching my eye as well. So tough to choose just one!
Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone's picked anything out yet and what you are doing?
ETA Oh, and where are you looking/finding your nursery set? I am a bit disappointed in Target's online selection.
Re: Do you know what you're doing for the nursery?
I just pinned a super cute nursery theme on Pinterest that's purple with a nice design.
DH hates purple though so I will be doing pink and brown. We registered for this set at BRU.
I'm not doing pink walls though, I'm doing beige.
This is what I'm doing, minus the bumper. I plan on getting the wall decals, the sheet, the mobile, etc, I really just love this.

For this little boy- no, I haven't planned out his nursery yet. I did see bedding at PBKs that I like but not "in love with".
For DD, I went with a lilac and green room. It was super cute. The only issue is that it was really hard to find just purple and green stuff for her. It seems like most things for a girl have pink in there somewhere. I'll post a picture if I can find it.
We're doing the Harper bedding from PBK in gray!

Our walls will be gray with white trim and I'm doing one accent wall of thick stripes. The crib and dresser are going to be white and our glider is a gray and white maze pattern. I can't wait until it all comes together!

Found some pictures of Hannah's nursery.

If we were having a girl, I was going to do purple too! I actually love the sheets and patterns at Pottery Barn. I wouldn't normally shop there for furniture or anything bc I think it's overpriced, but the bedding isn't bad, esp when it's on sale. I envisioned a wall of handpainted wallpaper- grey/purple, white flowy curtains and white furniture w/mercury glass accents.
We found out we were having a boy and I headed towards cars/trucks/vintage firetrucks simply b/c DH is a gearhead. Wall are brown, furniture dark brown and navy, light blue, white, red and light brown accents.
Her nursery is going to be pink and green shabby chic with bird houses and leaves. The walls are pink and I'm painting a huge tree mural on the wall. The bedding is going to be simple solid colored coordinates and a quilt -- when I get around to making it.
I'm working on the tree mural this week. I'll post pics when I'm done!

I got a few sheets at PBK this past weekend. We were so excited about having a girl H and I had to get them! We only go tthe sheets though not a set of anything yet.

For the room we are still working out details. I know we are doing black furniture and pink and grey walls. We both want to do an accent wall with stripes but I'm not sure if it will be 2 tones of pink or a pink and grey. H and I also haven't agreed on the direction of the stripes yet. Vertical vs horizontal is a bigger decision than I had previously anticipated.
We shall see!

Well, we're getting DS a twin bed for his room and moving the crib into ours. I'm getting some pink sheets (striped and polka dotted) and a brown crib skirt. Plus, hopefully a little pink and brown polka dotted rug for in front of the changing table that is moving to the hallway. Lastly, pink and brown polka dotted baskets for the bookcase next to where the changing table is because we don't have room for another dresser.
Hopefully we'll sell our house next year and we'll do a little girl's room for DD.
Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter themed for our girl (that we're still not convinced is a girl). Here's the room so far. Just needs the chair rail painted and installed:

We are doing a solar system theme. Still thinking of the colors..right now it might be 1 & 1/2 walls panted a darker blue, where we will then put up these stickers that are all the planets. Have no idea of the other walls. I also want to put some stars up on the celing. I am thinking of having some orange accents. I don't know..its still a in thought process at this point.
We have not decided on the furniture. I think the crib might be from BRU..the dresser from Ikea and then a few other things from Target. We are doing white..DH for some reason thought the other colors looked to prison..whatever..I think the white might look good with the theme we have going. We will see.
I love this and really want it, but I can't find sheeting sold separately. I love the MiGi set, but only want the sheet and the skirt.
For our little guy we are doing a safari themed, with this bedding:

Turquoise, bright green, and dark brown.
Plain white bedding - I think anything that's going to be sh/t on frequently should be super easy to wash
LOL That was DS's nursery theme for the most part. He loved it. ;-)

Our nursery has green walls, like kermit the frog, and the bedding is black and white french toile. Ive always known my babys room would be french toile since it is my favorite fabric. Some might think its a little "old ladyish", but to me it is beautiful. We are team green, so we didnt bother painting because the room was already green, and black and white goes with girl or boy. Now i just cant wait to set everything up!
Here is the crib set:

Everyone has some great ideas! We are "Team Green" so need to remain gender neutral and have decided on gray and yellow. Furniture is white and glider is gray with white piping. I couldn't find anything I liked enough in stores and wanted a nursery that can grow with the toddler. I decided to hit Etsy and I found someone great to make the crib sheet, skirt, changing pad cover and curtains.
To add a loose theme I ordered a few prints of baby animal headshots that I'll frame on the walls and plan to do gray walls and on one of the walls do birch tree decal in white with yellow birds.

We're having a decal put on the wall that says, "birds of a feather flock together" I thought it sounded kind of twiny and suited the peacock feather theme.
We're also having their newborn picture of them wearing peacock feather headbands blown up to an 11x13 size and putting it above the crib
Precious! So refreshing!
You put DAWN in a washing machine? Doesn't it fill the laundry room with suds like on that Brady Bunch episode?
My mom makes her own laundry detergent and she uses like, a tablespoon (or teaspoon? I don't know the recipe off the top of my head) of dawn for every gallon of mixture. So far it's worked just as well as store-bought detergent.
Oh, and as for the nursery question. We won't have a nursery, but I did register for a few of the items from this collection, Truly Scrumptious Dinosaur Tracks at BRU:
https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=16234556
Exactly this. None of the other rooms in our house have themes either.
Yep, mine's already done (except for the glider that I ordered from BRU which si yet to be delivered, and BRU seems to have lost it... don't even get me started on this).
Everything is from Target.
We aren't super into "baby" stuff. Want something more that grows with the peanut. Here are the colors we are working off of: https://www.twentythreeohone.com/2012/05/parkers-nursery.html
We painted the sage green a couple weeks ago, and got a GREAT rug from Ikea
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60050172/
The furniture we decided on though, is espresso brown - two dressers and the crib. And the Glider is a Best Chair from Buy Buy Baby... wont be here till Jan though, boo.
This is what we did for DS's room two years ago (with all the handmade gifts we received).
I still love the tree decal.
Love this
