I should be having a New Year's baby

My water broke yesterday morning and I am slowly leaking amniotic fluid. I am in the hospital to cook this baby till 35 weeks! She is happy, doing well, and weighing about 4 lbs. Hopefully I make it to 35 weeks and they will induce a few days before New Year's.

Any suggestions for bed rest?? Everyone at the hospital is so wonderful and the food is not bad. I hope these 3-4 weeks go by fast!

    See if you can have family and friends bring you some books, games (wood search, cross word puzzles ect), maybe some handheld games as well.  Ipod or something play music. Have them bring you things that can keep your mind entertained, nail polish (maybe change your nail color every few days)

    Fingers crossed that she stays well and holds off for a few more weeks.

    T&P. I hope that baby will cook for a few weeks and you won't deliver before NYE. 
     
    Movies, books, do you knit/crotchet? If you work, can you maintain some form of work from a laptop until they (your doctor/s) tell you that you shouldn't do any work?

    My super all about me birth story:
    Then: Fraternal twins born at 26 weeks in 1983. Me: 640 grams. Brother: 840 grams. Family kept watch in the NICU for 5 months before being allowed to go home. On oxygen for a year and a half after being released.
    Now: Me: PhD student and married. Brother: Lawyer and married.
    Dad's wedding speech: Thank you to all the family who stood watch and prayed for our children's survival. Well now the little scrawny chicken is married. Who would've thought? (Thanks dad for making me laugh and cry at the same time).

    Sending positive thoughts your way!  I'm on modified bedrest at home for now so I will send you some shared good bedrest vibes ;)

    I'm still working for the moment, but if I wasn't - my main go-tos are the ipad, books, and TV.  Netflix is great for marathoning a TV series you always meant to watch but didn't have time to!

    Keep that baby baking!

    TPs for you and your little one. I'm sorry you will have to spend you Christmas in the hospital.

    Any desire to be crafty? You could learn how to knit a baby hat on YouTube.

    FX that baby stays in as long as possible!!

    As for you - like PPs, I would suggest, books, movies, any crafts you enjoy, puzzles.  Ask someone to bring you your favorite meals every few days.  The hospital food may get old quickly.

    I'm on day 19 of hospital bedrest.  I've watched a lot of TV through netflix on my laptop to pass the time.

    I'll be thinking about you!  I was born at 31 weeks and was okay, and things have advanced so much since then.  I hope that she stays in there for you for a few more weeks so that she can keep growing!  I hope the time passes quickly for you.

    I hope all continues to go well! The HR board has a lot of bedrest moms on it. There's usually a daily check-in and you can always ask for tips or have someone to commiserate with if you're having a day when you're feeling down!

    BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
