I guess this post applies more to second time moms or late loss moms, but anyone can feel free to answer.
I'm wondering when you started to show with this pregnancy. I've had many people tell me that you show a lot sooner with a second pregnancy, especially if they were close together, because you're already "stretched out" and ready to go. I feel like I've already got a little pooch going on. While I realize it's probably just bloat, I feel like it's WAY earlier than it was last time (even for this much bloat).
Just wondering what your experiences were...

With DD I didn't start to show until 18-20 weeks, with DS it was closer to 14-16 weeks, this time the bloat is so bad I can't button my pants and I don't have my belly band since I lent it out and can't ask ofr it back without spilling the beans! been using the elastic trick the last couple of days
I never really had the early bloating issue with either pregnancy. And I don't really show much even now as I was fat before I got pregnant. I did get my first "when are you due?" from someone who didn't know as pregnant for the first time this week (though we were at a mom to mom sale and had no child in tow so that was a big tip off that the rounding belly was a pregnant belly).
But, I do know that my body changed much quicker with this pregnancy. My last pregnancy was twins and at 14.5 weeks the first twin died (but was still there in my uterus measuring somewhat similarly until my preterm labor). I never used a belly band once during that pregnancy where I went to almost 19 weeks with twins! I was wearing my normal pants, zipped normally til the day I delivered (though they were getting pretty tight at that point). I think with twins they say you usually measure ~6 weeks ahead so at that point (even with the first twin not growing and getting smaller) I should have been almost as big as I am now at 24 weeks with a singleton. But there is no comparison at all!
This pregnancy I had to put on the belly band on around 16 weeks. No way I could have possibly zipped my regular pants at 19 weeks. And this time I actually lost 5 lbs during the 1st trimester (have now gained it back) and still by 16 weeks couldn't zip my pants fully, while my weight had stayed the same in the last pregnancy.
So yeah I think there's definitely some truth to the idea that you stretch out much faster during later pregnancies. Often I've heard it's not just it being a 2nd pregnancy, but being a 2nd pregnancy so soon after a first pregnancy--so something that is likely to mostly affect those who've had a later loss (or maybe are having Irish twins).
