finding out gender at 16 wks

So I can either find out at 16 weeks right before my H leaves on some training stuff or anxiously wait until he comes back and I'll be 19 weeks. I really don't want to wait the whole time he is gone I'm pretty sure I'll drive myself crazy.. So do you all think the 16 weeks is too early to find out? The last thing I want is for them to be wrong!

    It's definitely possible to find out at 16 weeks, but your chances are MUCH better at 19.

    You could attempt to find out at 16 weeks. Sometimes it's possible.

    My u/s tech got the "money" shot on DS at 14 weeks. We didn't go out shopping or anything crazy like that until we confirmed at my 20 A/S. But still, it can be done!

    You should definitely be able to find out at 16 weeks. I have a few friends that live in my hometown that always find out at 16 since that's customary at their dr office.
    We don't get to find out until 20 weeks but would love to find out at 16 since it makes it just that much more real or at least it did with our DD.

    I think 16 wks is pretty reliable - that is how far along I was when we found out our twins were a boy and a girl.
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!
    ~~
    TTC again March 2014
    FET #3 - May/June 2014     -     all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board...
    IVF #4 - July/August 2014
