My boss is talking about "laying me off" aka firing me. Guess we can add that to the list.
...and I forgot to mention I have to figure out how to get Grant to pee in a bag so I can freeze it and give it to my pedi to test. Oh and Grant has to be put under for his MRI.
Btw whenever I get sad I think of how nice you ladies are and all the wonderful things you have done for me and it helps me not cry or cry less.
Sorry for the new post.
Re: update on the update.
They will very carefully sedate Grant for the MRI. The MRI is VERY loud and scary for even adults.Plus you have to be very still or the MRI is not accurate. They will give him sedatives
based on his weight then carefully
monitor him.
I'm so sorry about your job. Hugs.
If your employer lays you off, could you collect unemployment for a while? At least it'd be income. I'm not sure how that works.

30k and going up? Oh my goodness. Will your insurance cover it if hers doesn't? When will you find our if she had more than minimum coverage?

ETA: I'm not sure when I'll find out. Probably when my recovery is complete.
Preggers, you are doing a great job. Keep your chin up!
I just got done telling DH about you and he officially thinks I'm nuts. I don't talk too much about TB with him besides general things I read here, like babies shouldn't be wearing shoes. So when you updated today, and I had been watching for it and told him about how I was hoping for news from you, he was like, "What's her name???" And I said, "I don't know, preggersinschool. She had this appointment for Grant and I was wondering how things turned out." And I went on to tell him all about you, and then he called me a creeper for stalking a bunch of women on the internet and not participating in the forum. I informed him that actually I'm a lurker, lol. (I don't have time to post!!! I just read up while nursing/ pumping).
Anyway, I am taking the time tonight to post because I want you to know that there are more people thinking about you and pulling for you than you know. I'm glad you have someone to talk to tomorrow, and the only advice I have is to take one thing at a time. We all know you can handle everything coming your way, although I know that doesn't make it suck any less. Good luck with everything you have coming up!
P.S. Your family pic below is awesome!
My sister and BIL were in an accident last year and my BIL had bad back issues that still give him trouble. Their claim is still open/pending and he's been on unemployment once or twice since then and is now on workers comp for a work accident. So I know you can collect other things (at least in CT) with a claim pending. It might impact your settlement, but I would think getting fired due to your medical conditions caused by the accident would increase your settlement because now you'll have to find a new job as a result of them. Of course I'm not a lawyer so I could be completely wrong, but unemployment is based on your employment status and shouldn't be impacted by your pending lawsuit (I would check with your lawyer on all of this). And if you're unpaid right now being let go might help financially since you could collect unemployment. At least they're rushing your surgery, the sooner you're done the sooner you can try to settle. Hopefully they'll give you a good offer so you won't have to go to court.
I am sorry preggers, I have been gone for a while a missed a lot of this. No one should have to go through the amount that you are going through right now. Remember that it's okay to cry. I saw that you are seeing a therapist and that is awesome, because I don't know how anyone could go through all of this and not need help. You are doing great and don't underestimate your strength.
I work in a state Rep's office and help people with unemployment a lot. I know it is different in every state, but I would definitely call your local unemployment office or state rep's office and ask about it. In FL, income like disability etc does not affect your ability to recieve unemployment. I have a feeling the money you are recieving would be lumped into the same category as well. You won't be recieving income from working, and that is what they are most concerned about, and it is worth asking about. Here it is an extra 550.00 a month, and we have low cost of living.
As for your sweet baby (and you!) I will keep you in my prayers. As lancy said, babies are amazing and can surprise you, so stay optimistic. (easier said than done, I know...) Also, I know it is scary watching your baby go under, but Grant would be much better off taking a little nap then being in the MRI machine awake. It was scary for me as an adult because it is soooo loud! Keep us updated.
