Anyone use the Baby Merlin's magic sleepsuit? How did it work for your LO? If it worked but you are no longer using it, was it a hard transition to stop using it?
DS is 3 months old and still sleeps swaddled in his RnP. I ordered the sleepsuit to try to get him to sleep more flat in a bassinet first. I should receive the suit in a few days...
Re: Magic sleepsuit
We used it when my DD was 5 months old and we were transitioning her from the RNP to the crib. It worked perfectly for us! From day one, she started sleeping 11-12 hours straight. She STTN in the RNP but when we tried to transition to the crib, it was two nights of HELL!
Anyway, we used it for about 6 weeks, and stopped using it when she was just about to roll over with it on. Tranisitioning her out of it was fine at first, but she started teething soon after and that began two months of not STTN. But I truly don't believe it was related to not having the sleepsuit on. She's now back to sleeping 10-11 hours through the night.
I would HIGHLY recommend the suit. It helped us out soooo much, and got her used to the crib. I used it for naps and night time, like I said it was great and well worth the money!

We also used the Sleep Suit. We started using it around 3 or 4 months when she was fighting the swaddle which was interrupting her sleep. It worked wonderfully. We stopped using it when she started rolling over at night - can't remember when. But there were no issues with the transition. We use a blanket sleeper now with legs, so she can stand in the crib when she wakes up. She's always been good sleeper, STTN for 11 hours, except during growth spurts, in which she wakes up once for a feeding.
GL!
Is that the same thing as the sleep sack?
No. Google the Baby Merlin's magic sleepsuit. It's supposed to help with the transition when you stop swaddling baby and the transition from smaller sleeping spaces like a bassinet or Rock n Play to the crib. It kinda looks like a snowsuit, but it's breathable.
I accidentally clicked on this board, but saw this so I thought I'd respond. We used it. I am so thankful for it. He was busting out of his swaddle. He needed to be swaddled until 9/10 months (7/8 months adjusted). If we hadn't had it we would have been screwed. Daycare didn't allow swaddling past 8 months (6 adjusted). So, this allowed him to still be contained (and SLEEP) while we worked on weaning him from being contained all together.
We had him in the escape proof swaddle before then. Google it. It's a youtube video. You're welcome in advance. That's how we transitioned him from the RNP.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
