Girasol ?

Just tried to use my new Girasol woven wrap and holy crap it was hard.  I had a Moby when E was little but didn't like the stretchyness.  I thought I'd give a woven a try and I'm not sure I'm cut out for it.  I knew there would be a learning curve and maybe I'm doing something wrong but geez I didn't expect it to be that difficult and that lumpy.  Of course the baby wiggling didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!

    Is it brand new? I got mine used and it's soft and easy to wrap with (and it's my first wrap). Maybe yours still needs some breaking in. As far as the squirmy baby, idk what to tell you. Mine's a model wrapper. What carry are you trying?

    I second the rec to go to a BW group if you have one near you. There absolutely is a learning curve, but for me it was well worth it for he versatility of wrapping. I would use it often to both break it in and to get the hang of it before you decide if it is or isn't your thing. Also, if you post pics the wrappers here might be able to give you some feedback that could help make it easier and more comfy.

    Ditto to the above advice!  Which carry are you doing?  Have you watched a couple of videos to get a sense of different tightening methods?  And definitely wash if you haven't already as that will make it easier to wrap with.  You also might want to try wrapping a pillow or something first just to get the hang of how to tighten before trying with squirmy baby.

    After reading your super helpful responses I think a big issue is its new. I'm also feeling completely overwhelmed by the length and width of it. I'll try again tomorrow I guess, after browsing YouTube.
