I think it's sweet that you're getting the neighbors anything! Mine will not be receiving gifts this year, and neither will co-workers......Sorry, folks!
I think cookies is a great idea! Here's an easy something... You need a little cupcake pan and little cupcake cups. Get the premade tube of peanut butter cookies and some small Reese's peanut butter cups. Pinch some dough off the tube and roll them into little balls and bake. When you get them out of the oven, take a Reese's cup and push down into each cookie. They're awesome!!!

those sound awesome and easy. I should look into pre made cookie dough more often.
Thanks a lot Jmccall now I'm gonna eat a whole roll of those cookies after reading that. I love all things pb.
I feel the same way! Wish I had some PB cookie dough in the house. Add that to the grocery list for tomorrow! Even DH would like these.. and he's picky about everything.
Anyway, OP, I found this blog with lots of neighbor gift ideas. I just skimmed through it, so I don't know if there's anything really great, but it looked cute! I'm a sucker for things that are in cute packaging.
I have to stop now before this gets too long! But there's lots of great ideas on pinterest. It makes me want to do neighbor gifts, even though I had no intention of it before!
To those that do, do you feel inclined to do EVERY neighbor within X amount of distance? Or just the ones you like? Just next door neighbors?

Cookies or any homemade goodies are a great gift for neighbors! I'm making cranberry lime vodka for my neighbors this year. It was pretty cheap and really easy!
You are all welcome! LOL! It's super easy to do with any premade dough...and add whatever treat you want in the middle...the peanut butter ones are the best, imo. But you can do sugar cookies with a rolo or hershey kiss...those are good too. I'm adding it to my grocery list too!
Re: Neighbor gift ideas
How cheap are we talking?
For $10 - $20, ornaments and wine are usually a safe bet.
For $5 - $10, gift certificates to Cupcake Craving or Starbucks are fun.
