Merry Christmas to me!

I have never bought anything on Groupon, but I have been dying to have a cleaning service of some sort because I just don't have time or energy to keep my house as clean as I would like.

So i happened to see a groupon for a cleaning service today - $115 for 3 sessions of "two man hours" per session.  They are local, have an A rating on BBB without any complaints, so I jumped on it.

Yipppeeeeee!!!  I am so very excited.  I don't really know what to expect since I have never had a cleaning person, but the though of someone else cleaning my bathrooms and dusting makes me grin ear to ear.

So.. I have a question... do I tip when they come?  If so, how much? 

ETA: we are putting our house on the market in January and I have had serious anxiety about trying to get my house clean, and keep it that way.  So that is my main reason for wanting a cleaning service of some sort.

    That's awesome!  I'm so glad you're treating yourself to this.

    Sorry, I can't help about the tipping question.  The only time I've ever had a cleaning lady was when we lived in Colombia, where tipping isn't customary.

    We have cleaning ladies that come every two weeks.  I've never tipped them, but since it is Christmas time I want to do something.  Maybe you could them like a little gift card to Dunkin' or Starbucks?

    I do too!! Oh what I would do to have a cleaning person come to our home.... I'd probably give them a little tip, unless they own their own business.

    I know how you guys feel- i have been very jealous of people with cleaning crews too... which is why this makes me so freaking excited.  I need help, desperately. I doubt we will be able to continue after my little deal runs out with 3 visits, but I am thrilled for every little bit of help i can get.

    This!!! I am so jealous! I would love a cleaning service but being that we are just on my income now it won't happen anytime soon. And this may sound crazy but I would have the irrational need to clean before they came to clean my house....

    I would check their work before I tipped but that is just me. If they did a thorough job or did everything on the list (provided you give them a list) then I would tip around $15. If they don't do a good job, then I probably wouldn't tip.

    This is such a good idea!  I just went on to Groupon and found myself a similar deal because of this!
