Has your LO taken over your bedroom?
Is LO allowed in your room?
I made it my mission today to clean our master bedroom and move all of the baby toys to their rightful place!! Do you have this same issue? If so, remove all toys, buy new bedding and candles and make it an adult place again! Between weaning and my big girl room back I think today will be the perfect hump day! Bo is welcome in our room! Just not his toys!
Re: YOUR bedroom
I am so jealous of this! The last time Bo and I fell asleep together was the day I stopped nursing...Such sweet-precious moments! YOU LUCKY TART YOU!
D goes in our room when I am getting dressed in the morning. Once I am done I take him out and close the door. No baby stuff at all in our bedroom. It is sort of too cluttered anyway.
He has the run of the house except for our bedroom, bathroom, & laundry room (where the dogs food/water is kept).
His toys are mainly in his room and we keep a basket of toys in the living room.
oops. I guess I worded that wrong. He sleeps in his crib next to our bed. He has a mini crib in our bedroom and a big crib in his room. I wish he'd sleep in bed with me but as soon as I lay him in bed with me he gets all hyper and wants to play. I miss the days when he would sleep with me in bed
Our room is not a place LO can roam freely. If we happen to need him to be in there with us, there's a basket of toys as an attempt to keep him out of other trouble. Usually, we'll have one of the other kids play with him in his room if we need him to hang out upstairs for a bit. Really, the only place LO is truly safe (for me to leave him for a bit) is the living room downstairs. It has only his toys, doorways gated, cabinets locked, etc. We have not gated the stairs and there are big kid toys in every corner of the rest of the house. Thank goodness Benny is so easy to keep happy. He loves playing in the living room!
As far as the big kids and our bedroom, they're in there if they need to be. They take baths/showers in our bathroom. They don't just go in there to play though. They love to listen to cd books in our room. Our alarm clock has the only cd player in the house, so the cds and books are in a basket thing by DH's nightstand. Our 4yo snuggles in our bed in the morning bc he wakes up cold. That's about it.
My kids are always welcome in our room. We often end up like the song, "four in the bed and the little one said..."
No matter how hard I try, DS's toys always end up our bedroom. DH will usually get him in the morning and bring him into our bed for morning cuddles while I'm showering. We have a few books in our room for him. Somehow his counting piggie bank and ball popper always end up in our bedroom.
He plays in our bedroom/ensuite bath/closet while we get ready in the morning.
Max doesn't really play in our room. He occasionally sleeps in our bed, but those nights are few and far between.
In general our kids aren't in the bedroom. Our dresser drawers roll easily, so perfect for pinching small fingers, and DH is always leaving small things lying around ... So we keep the door closed.
When I get ready for the day they come in with me, but my shoes, scarves and purses generally keep them busy playing dress up for those few minutes.
This. We need to clean that room desperately. We keep the door closed all the time.
Haha!! I thought Bowen was the only one! I tell him they are stickers!!
