I am curious to know if you read my response to your post about Arie's life book. I know I gave a lot of unsolicited and somewhat unrelated advice, but I am curious as to how you received it.
I guess what I'm asking is whether I overstepped, or if that kind of post is welcomed. I don't want to offend you, but I just feel as if I've walked many of your steps recently, and if I can help you avoid any of our missteps or how often we felt blindsided, I'd like to.
Re: ***jillianmb***
Oh good grief I totally forgot to reply to you! I'm sorry!! I really loved what you had to say and especially the part about how we just don't know how major or minor a role the child's adoption will play in their lives. I was thinking about that after you wrote it and it my experience with friends who were adopted, for some of them it is a piece of their story that they cherish and for others it is something they can't seem to come to terms with. Not sure why the difference but I agree that we have to expect any outcome and walk with our child through that.
Your advice is very welcome! Thank you for sharing it with me!
