Ipad Apps

Hi there,

I work at a daycare and we use an ipad quite regularly to work on matching, letter recognition among other things with our preschoolers. Recently our three 21 month olds are becoming very very interested in playing with the ipad.

I am curious if anybody has games that their young child likes to play? Money isn't an issue.

I downloaded two Fisher Price apps- one is for shapes/colors, the other is the FP puppy and pointing out body parts. DD is too young to really understand either one, but she loves playing with them. :-) They were both free, I think??

My 19 month old likes the following:

toy story 1 and 2 ( 1 is free. Pretty good)

meme tales (a free book is avail every wk)

pbs app (let's you see past episodes of PBS programming)

elmo ABCs

ABC magico ( abc in Spanish with sounds)

A few apps my 19 month old enjoys are:

music sparkles

all of the "Peakaboo's" like Peakaboo Barn, Forest, Refrigerator, etc.

elmo ABC's

she also just enjoys looking through all of the picture on our iPad and taking new ones.

HINT: once things are download, turn the iPad onto "Airplane Mode" or turn off wi-fi. For awhile my DD enjoyed FaceTime calling her Grandparents and then hanging up on them as soon as they answered!

DD has basically commandeered my ipad. Her favorite is the mickey mouse club house road rally. She also like the pbs app and fruit ninja. DH has a bunch of random games that she enjoys turning off and on (watching the intro).
