CP Christmas Tree Lights

We are FINALLY putting our tree up this weekend... I am debating on what I want color-wise; what will Reece enjoy more. What color lights do you have on your tree/s... If you have more than one tree with two different colors (eg. one tree with white lights and one tree with purple lights) please SS and let me know what they prefer by their reactions....

We're not doing a tree this year (unless you count the Charlie Brown Christmas tree we have on our kitchen table), but we usually alternate white and colored lights. I was thinking this year we'd do both. I never liked the colored lights until we got the big, retro ones. They're so cool.

Maybe it is because the tree is in the living room, which is empty so we don't go In there much, but neither of my kids is too dazzled by the tree. My older son likes some of the ornaments, and he likes that it is lit, but my baby could take it or leave it. We have white lights, by the way. I like colored lights, but we have a Pre lit white light tree. If we had to put it in a room we use, though, we may have skipped the tree this year.

I answered "SS" because we always put strings of colored and white lights on our tree. Don't ask me why. We just always have since I was a kid.

We have white lights now, but when we have bigger kids we'll probably switch to colored, or do colored outside. We haven't put a tree up yet, because we all spent last weekend vomiting instead of going to get it, but I am pretty sure Lucia will find it exciting no matter what.

Erm, I did the exact same thing. Voted for coloured but I meant white!

I think white lights are pretty. However, I love colored lights because that's what was on my family's tree when I was little. When I got older my mom switched over to a white tree and white lights and also a green tree with green lights.

ETA: We currently only have a small tree, about 3 feet high. It's fiberoptic, I think. Maybe that's not what it's called. Anyways, the lights are sort of built into it, and it changes colors. Hopefully we can have a full size tree next year, since we'll be in the new house. Then, I'm not sure what color lights we'll have.

Since you specifically asked that we choose SS if we have more than one tree, that is what I did. Our "main" tree has colored lights. I think DD prefers this more. She really likes anything that lights up, but she plays with and is more excited by that tree. It could be because that tree is bigger and because she can reach some of the unbreakable ornaments and play with them. But she waves hi & bye to that tree whenever we enter and leave the room. She screams at it every time she comes downstairs from nap/waking up in the morning. The other tree she will notice when I point it out.

Colored, always colored! They are so festive, we only use colored inside AND outside. Although I would like to do the clear icicle lights one year but I doubt DH would go along with it.

Also, my parents went from all clear to colored because of the grandkids this year...apparently kids need color!

me too! My mom always did colored lights and then a strand of white, the white lights "brighten" the whole tree up. I followed suit when DH and I got our place
