Ok, since it seems like many of us would like a check-in here on Feb 13, I'll go ahead and start one. This time around let's just do the basics -
1. What pregnancy # is this for you? How far along are you?
2. Have you had pre-e before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason?
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far?
4. How are you feeling about things?
Re: *** Pre-e watch/diagnosis check-in ***
2. I had pre-e in my 1st- 32 weeks-ish. Delivered at 36.
HELLP in my 4th pregnancy, diagnosed at 22 weeks, delivered at 23 weeks.
HELLP in my 9th pregnancy, diagnosed at 23 weeks, delivered at 25 weeks.
Pre-e in my 11th, diagnosed at 29 weeks, delivered at 33 weeks.
Pre-e this time, in my 13th- diagnosed at 28 weeks. The plan is to deliver at 34 (the day after Christmas!) provided I stay stable.
3. I was admitted 18 days ago at 28 weeks for a bleed- I have placenta previa- and while here they decided I also have pre-e. So even though the bleeding stopped and I could go home if that was my only issue, they're keeping me here until delivery because of the pre-e.
4. I am a chronic hypertensive, so I feel like they're being overly cautious. My pressures aren't high for *me* and my labs keep coming back fine. So basically I'm feeling frustrated and I want to go home LOL
Boy 16, Boy 15, Boy 13, Girl 10, Girl 8 & Twin Boys 3, and Bacon!
Twin A is in REMISSION!
23 week loss, 24 week loss, 3 early miscarriages & a 25 weeker who lived only 9 weeks.
This is pregnancy number 5. 3 early losses I am 31 weeks!
2. Have you had pree before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason?
I had pre e with my first pregnancy and was induced at 36 weeks 6 days. It started just a couple weeks before that.
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far?
So far things look great with pregnancy. My weight gain is higher than I would like but its been nice and steady. BP has been around 116/70 consistently so that's awesome plus no swelling. Even so, I start weekly appointments next week to really watch things closely.
4. How are you feeling about things?
I actually feel really good about
and think I may just avoid pre e this time. My doctor is keeping a close on things so that's also reassuring.
Diagnosed w/ Endo 9/18/09

1. What pregnancy # is this for you? How far along are you? This is my 2nd pregnancy, but I miscarried with my first pregnancy. I'm 28w5d with a baby boy
2. Have you had pre-e before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason? Nope - haven't had it before or been diagnosed, but am being watched because of chronic hypertension.
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far? I have not been diagnosed, and hope I'm not. I'm on meds for HBP, so OB is watching me closely. My blood pressue is still in an "ok" range so far, but it has creeped up since the first tri - so OB is a bit more concerned than he was in the beginning of the pregnancy. I did my first growth ultrasound and 24 hour urine collection this week.
4. How are you feeling about things? OK, there was some concerns the meds I'm on could restrict LO's growth, so I had my first growth ultrasound this past Monday. My little man is in the 53 percentile for his gestational age, so OB is happy with that - which makes me happy.

PAIF/SAIF/PGAL welcome
Hi ladies - Not happy about the circumstances for any of us, but glad to have some company in this and others to talk to
1. What pregnancy # is this for you? How far along are you? This is my second pregnancy, I'm 30w, 5d today.
2. Have you had pre-e before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason? Yes, I developed with DS1 at 34+ weeks. I was induced about a week later at 35w,4d.
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far? Officially diagnosed last week at 30 weeks. I've been put on modified bedrest and am going to the OB twice a week now.
4. How are you feeling about things? Ugh, lots of feelings. Primarily scared. This diagnosis is a lot earlier than with DS1 and I'm really scared that DS2 might have to be born very early. Also anger. This is going to be my last pregnancy (especially after this diagnosis), and I was so hopeful that it would be "normal", that I'd get to experience a full 40 weeks and that I would be able to have a full-term baby, which is very unlikely at this point. I feel robbed of those experiences and angry with my body for not being able to do those things
DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13
What Pregnancy? This is my second, and 29 weeks.
Pre-e before? Yes, but my previous OB never "officially" said I had pre-e. My current OB is the one who officially diagnosed me! Last time, I started showing symptoms around 25 weeks when my BP skyrocketed.
How are things? So far, so good! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. So far no sign of pre-e this time. But because of my previous situation, my OB is monitoring me closely for any occurrences.
How am I? Again, so far I'm doing great.
1. What pregnancy # is this for you? How far along are you? Pregnancy 3, 27w 4d (my ticker is slightly off, never fixed it based on new due date)
2. Have you had pre-e before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason? Yes, had mild pre-e that started at 37-38 weeks in both of my previous pregnancies. This time my blood pressure went up by my first visit and has stayed up, so they're watching carefully since I otherwise have low-average bp.
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far? BP is high and I'm on meds for that (which are making me feel awful), but my 24 hour urine came back clean, so they aren't too worried yet. I'm hoping that he stays in as long as possible.
4. How are you feeling about things? A little anxious and since I'm supposed to be resting (they held back from suggesting bedrest because I have two kids at home) I'm guilty about how little I'm able to do around the house (DH has been amazing about it but I feel bad).1. What pregnancy # is this for you? How far along are you? Pregnancy #3, but #2 was a m/c. I'm almost 30 weeks.
2. Have you had pre-e before? If so, when did it hit? If not, have you started showing symptoms this time or are you on watch because you're at risk for another reason?
Yes, with DD I had pre-e/HELLP that was diagnosed at 33w6d, although in retrospect I was symptomatic for about a week before that. She was delivered via unplanned c/s at 34w1d.
3. How are things looking so far this pregnancy? Have you been officially diagnosed or are you just being monitored closely / on watch so far?
I've been seeing spots and my BP is occasionally borderline, plus my reflexes were exaggerated on Tues at my appt, so they're now officially watching me even more closely. They did a blood draw, so we'll see how my numbers come back. But for now my BP comes down on its own and I'm not spilling protein or swelling too badly, so it's just a watch.
4. How are you feeling about things? At first not at all worried, but that night after my appt I had nightmares, so obviously it is affecting me. Now what I'm most worried about is spending xmas in the hospital since it's the first xmas where DD is aware of what's going on and is getting excited about stuff.
