So my sweet Emmalyn Grace is here : she was born 112912 at 6:22 pm. I was induced for high blood pressure. Wed night around 9 pm cervidil was inserted...and apparently incorrectly!! When my dr got there at 8 am to remove it and start the induction, she found that the nurse rolled the string up to much and it was PAST my cervix. Talk about painful : her getting it out was so bad! I'm pretty sure the nurse got in some trouble by the way my dr was talking to the other nurse in the room.. So it didnt work. I was still at 1.5 and 80. She broke my water and contractions followed immediately. 30 min later she started my pitocin drip and holy cow were those contractions awful! And they were coming every two minutes immediately! So around 11 I got an epidural and it was rainbows and butterflies : nurses were laughing at me for doing my hair and makeup during contractions! When I got that I was 3 cm then around 2pm I was 6 cm then at 4 I was 8 cm. I started feeling contractions again so they gave my epidural another dose. At around 5 I felt alot of pressure and was checked and at 10 cm. I started pushing around 530 pm and she was here in my arms, no complications, at 622! I had about 6 stitches from what I watched. Dr didn't say. But that's my 10 hour induction/labor story! She was 8lb 2oz 19 inches :she was put on me skin to skin and found my breast immediately! I'm so amazed by her and can't get enough! Also, she doesn't care for the pack n play bassinet or lying flat in general right now... My rock n play is a life saver! I highly recommend it! Does this mean i have to move to nov 2012? I don't wanna!
