Dear Sandra Boyton,
I love all of your children's books except I have one qualm! In The Going To Bed Book all of the animals take a bath and "...scrub scrub scrub" , find their pajamas, "...brush and brush their teeth", and then they exercise! Every night I read this book to my son, and every night the exercise routine does not seem like an appropriate event for sleepy animals and babies alike ESPECIALLY after they have bathed and brushed their teeth! What do these animals not sweat or want to partake of a power drink during a workout? I think instead of exercising the animals should be reading...or meditating...or maybe even singing a soft lullaby! Not getting their heart racing--sweating--maybe even gagging because they are so out of shape! There. I got it out.
Signed,
A confused bed time routine reader and her baby son that wants to exercise and run all over the place after he brushes his teeth all because of this book! It definitely could not because he just learned to walk/run...it is this book!

Ha, I was just thinking the same thing! Very strange...

I am confused too...
but then again, when O runs all over the house after a bath and tooth brushing, she wears herself out and falls right to sleep!

But DS loves them so I have no complaint.
