So I've decided that Murphy's law totally applies to TTC... anything screwy that can happen to your cycle can and will happen while TTC.
On to my question (sorry if this gets long).... while BDing this month, the last three times to be exact, when I go to the bathroom afterward, there is a pink discharge. Usually this is just a white discharge that I assume is DH semen... right? The first time I thought that it might be ovulation spotting - yeah! Then happened 2 days later. Last night (4 days later again) it happened again. I'm pretty sure it isn't O spotting now. BTW, I havne't been temping or OPKing this month (plan to start next cycle), but had tracked my CM, so no way of knowing if I even O'd. I googled (totally not a good thing to do) to see what spotting after sex could mean. I'm sure its not an STD, hope its not cervical cancer, etc. Here are my thoughts:
1) my cervix was super sensitive lately and bleeds during sex
2) low progesterone? I think I read somewhere that this could cause mid-cycle bleeding, but if so, why is it only after sex, and maybe the next time I go to the bathroom
3) my DH sperm is bloody... not sure... I asked him last night if he would 'test' this theory on his own, so hopefully he will get on that tonight... never asked him to do THAT before.
Your thoughts, has this happened to any of you, and do you rec. calling the Dr? TIA
Edit: I've just started posting in the 2ww thread, but this is our 2nd cycle this time around, and we have a DS who is 18 months. Currently on CD24, and this happend on CD16, CD19, and CD23.
Re: Murphy's Law and a question (TMI warning)
I agree with the pp, I vote #1.
If it only happens after sex and doesn't bother you, then I would say you are just slightly irritated and it is no big deal.
This. It is not uncommon for me to bleed just a little after sex.
LOL...
Thanks for the replies, I'll stop worrying!
I agree completely
I would think just irritation from sex. Good luck and welcome!
This made me giggle.
I'm sure it's just number one. Happens to me sometimes.
This! Plus I just peed a little!

This made me laugh! By all means if DH wants to provide you a sample, that's fine.. but I'm sure that's not necessary
Like others have said, your cervix is probably just getting irritated a bit. It happens, but f/u with your MD if it gets worse.
LOL, yes. I get this after doggy style.
If you're worried, mention it to your OB.
