First U/S this morning

Things went very well. There are 2 gestational sacs!
However, only one of them is clearly showing a yolk sac, so we have to wait and see if there is a yolk sac in the second one.
Both sacs are measuring 5W2D.
I was truly hoping there would be 2 in there, but yesterday I had convinced myself we would only be seeing one and that my betas weren't high enough for twins. DH was sure we would be seeing 2. We are very excited and hopeful that the 2nd one is a real pregnancy.
A little overwhelmed, and probably won't sleep well until the next u/s. I have been awake since 3:30 am thinking about any number of things, not the least of which finding a doctor closer to work, but it's 30 minutes from home.
Holy crap!
TTC since 3/2010. Me 41, DH-49. After 3 years, 6 IUIs and several IVFs we have finally have our beautiful baby girl, born on 11/7/13.

Glad you had a great U/S! Did you schedule another one? It's still pretty early so there's def a chance you'll see another bean in there at the next one.

Yay! Glad to here it went so well! Just like everyone else said, totally normal that you might see the yolk sac in one and not the other at this point, it could have been there but just too small to see yet!

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Creep away owlprof, I appreciate you all checking up. I'm excited and nervous which I guess is par for the course with IF, never can relax no matter how good the news is.
I am hoping you ladies are right, that one just implanted later than the other one and is a little behind. I did lurk on the multiples board a few days ago and saw that one woman had a similar situation with the second sac being empty. Several other posters said that it had happened to them and they went back and there was a 2nd heartbeat that they weren't expecting to see. So there is hope!
I go will go back next Wednesday the 12th to do more bloodwork and U/S so we will know more then. I think it will be worse than the 2ww!

This is great to know. DH and I both thought it looked like there was something in the second sac but it wasn't as clearly pronounced as the other one. We have the picture and it still looks like that, so I have a good feeling about it...I know we don't look at these things all day like they do, but hopefully we will find out we were right!

Yahooooo!!! I had seen your betas and they looked like twins to me. I hope your 2 will both make it, but we were also very guarded at the beginning because of the high chance of one twin vanishing.

me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)
MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels
MAY 2012 - onto IVF/ICSI (Antagonist Protocol) on BCP and Folgard (3 week delay - cyst - boooo) 5/21 start stims 5/30 ER 11R 8M 3F 6/2 3DT of 3 6/12 Beta #1 83 | 6/14 Beta #2 196 | 6/21 Beta #3 3818 | 6/28 Beta #4 22,213 | 7/2 1st U/S - 2 on board! 8/24 CVS reveals that we have a boy AND a girl on board!

I'm anxiously awaiting my u/s on Wednesday but only because I have been having a good feeling about the 2nd one, and I don't want to get there and find out I have been totally wrong after being so sure it would be ok. Thanks for the well wishes, I am so happy to finally be here after this long haul, I was just about over it. Glad to see you on here!
