I know this post gets written all the time, but I really need a recommendation for a truly leak proof sippy cup. Preferably with a hard spout. I need something that I can put in the bed with little one for water. She wakes up so thirsty all the time she drinks water like a horse! and the cups I have leak all over the place Playtex hard spout, Nuby, Munchkin. I prefer something with the hard spout because she knows how to hold the cup upside down and squish the soft tops so all the liquid comes out. I hate to keep buying these darn things and find out they leak. Perhaps I am missing something, somewhere...ugh. Thanks!!
Sorry for any errors or quirks, iBumping!

Re: Help need recs for tried and true leak proof sippy
The only cups that I have found that are 100% leak proof are DD's Conmigo cups, but those are for a little bit older of kids (3+). I would not be exaggerating if I said we had bought hundreds of dollars worth of kids cups and had not found one until the Conmigo that does not leak (some worse than others).
We never had any luck with the spout sippy cups not leaking; sorry I am not help there. We found the playtex coolster tumbler cups to be a decent cup and Munchkin's might gripper straw cup to be ok (the liquid that goes gets sucked past the valve in the straw will leak out). Those are the only three cups I remember being at least some what happy with.
I am interested to hearr the answers as well. We have bought all the usual brands and keep having leaks. Ours leak out the spout and around the lid no matter how much i tighten them when outting the cap on. Yesterday he had milk in the backseat of the car and decided to start shaking it upside down. I almost lost my mind!

Yes, I have. DD#1 and I have one and they both leak - so bad to the point that I keep can koozies on them to absorb the water! I also have a hard time getting the spout clean and I even use the smaller bottle brush to try to get in there really well when I take it apart.
Thanks - we actually have had her tested....diabetes runs in DH's family. I think she makes up for what she isn't drinking during the day. I make sure she always has a cup on hand, but she is to darn busy! It really isn't that bad at night, its just that when she does wake up for it, she will scream bloody murder until she gets something. I keep it in her room, just not in her bed because I have had too many soaked sheets!

I'm glad she's been tested and is negative! That's great.
We have these for the kids:

As long as you screw it tightly, and get the arrow within the marked line, it's great. No leaking.
Our only successful non-spill proof one that I have bought so far is actually the take and toss ones! $2.00 for 4 of them and they have still yet to leak! You can't beat that price and they are hard spout so no squishing and liquid leaking everywhere.
