He got sick

Remember I was asking about visiting with my NICU baby while DS#1 was sick? Well I was fine and keeping everything lysoled and washing hands and I ended up sick on Saturday and haven't seen baby since Friday. I just talk to the doctor and she said CJ has "eye goop" and asked if anyone was sick. I told her I am but I haven't been there because of that. She said she started him on eye antibiotic ointment and did blood work. The blood work shows his antibodies are slightly high at a 7 and looks like he is trying to fight off something. She said he visibly seems ok other than the eye leakage and his desats but they will watch him close. Needless to say I am freaking out and I feel it's all my fault. Anyone have advice?? Been through this?

    The dr just called back and said they are going to restart an iv and start antibiotics. If his bloodwork is ok tomorrow they will stop them in 3 days if not they will run for a week. Also, she said an echo(sp?) speciailist will look at him because they hear a murmur. She thinks it may be the "preemie hole" but isn't sure.sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Please don't blame yours. It sounds like you have a bunch of great nurses who seem to be on the ball. Thinking of you and your LO this morning.
