Help - Dressy shoes for a girl

I am trying to find a good pair of dressy shoes for DD to wear with her dresses. Right now I make her wear her light up shoes. I just bought her a pair of black boots from kohls and the 1st time she wore them they got ruined. The toes got all scuffed up (it has to be how she walks/plays) Is there a pair you would recommend that have better toes where the stuff would not come off so easily?

I've gotten a couple of pairs like this and our oldest daughter has destroyed the toes of them within two wears.

How much wear are you talking? If it's a lot, I love Pedipeds, but they are pricey. I tend to get DDs one pair of these per season for everyday wear. At the moment they have tennis shoes (and yep, they wear them with their dresses to daycare...even my girl that decided she wanted orange/black tennis shoes!). For church we have these Target shoes. They are fine for occasional wear, but I doubt they'd hold up to more than that. We had a similar pair last year and the finish peeled off with only a couple hours of wear a week.

We had a couple of weddings to attend, so I bought DD a pair of dressy mary janes from Stride Rite. They held up well - 2 of the weddings were outdoors, and DD ran all over the place.
