Pubin bone pain or pressure?

I've been having awful pain and what feels like pressure way way low in my pelvis. Kind of hard to pinpoint but it feels achy as well as when I walk or bend it almost doubles me over. It feels like it may be right where his head is. I never had this with DD. I have contractions and have had back pain most of the day too but nothing regular. Any ideas?

Re: Pubin bone pain or pressure?

  • This has been me last week and this week.  Baby started dropping last week, and when that little head hit the pelvic area, I could barely move.  When baby shifts around, it's sometimes more comfortable, but on a day like today, I can barely move my left leg because of the pain.  It's as though this LO is impeding my movement.  Not fun.  I also have the same experience if the baby's butt is under my right rib.  Makes it near impossible to walk.

For me not sure how much of it is due to LO moving vs. The pelvis itself stretching and ligaments, tendons, around the top of the femur. Getting in or out of the car is a challenge and have somedays where I am completly limping around. Finally figured out that it was worse if I slept on that side ... so I have been limiting myself to sleeping on my left side, and am no longer limping nor does it hurt as much to lift the right leg and have a bit more range of motion before the pain sets in.

Now am just wondering how long it will be before the problem switches to the left side.

  • I am like this too, if I've been sitting more then 20 minutes or so, my pubic bone and even down my thighs hurt  to stand and walk for a while..(doubled almost for the first minute or two..)  once I'm up and moving it goes away.  But then I'm tired from standing and walking..  Evil circle.  I think it's just pressure from the baby..  THeres no good/comfortable angle to sit/stand/lay or anything!!

This is me too. I told my doctor I was having a lot of pelvic and pain pressure and that it had just started Monday. Last week when he checked me, baby was very high and yesterday had dropped to negative 3 station and that's why I was having so much pressure.
