Le sigh

I dragged my Christmas decorations down from the attic today put the tree together, and the bottom 1/3 of the lights won't work. Since it's pre-lit, I can't stretch the string out and methodically figure out which light is out. Ugh.

Would it be bad to just buy a string of lights for the bottom of the tree?

  • My friend added an additional thing of lights so she wouldn't have to by another tree this year

  • Oh I dread that happening to my prelit tree : I would buy a string of lights but then maybe buy a new tree the day after Christmas.

There has to be a way to replace the bulbs, right? Are the fuses somewhere on the tree?

I checked the fuses. They are not blown. So that means there is either a bulb loose or burned out.

I wish it was a fuse.

  • Nothing wrong with that at all. I have a prelit tree with colored lights and wanted to do white lights this year, so I just put white strands around the tree.

  • My mom gave us her prelit and I dragged it all the way home to discover the middle section is out.  We just tossed a string of lights around it and hoped for the best.
