Reusing our car seat ?

So were are reusing our car seat from DD for DS. I took the fabric off and washed it because it was in storage and kinda dusty. When I was putting it back on I noticed 2 small pinky sized holes on the cover on the fabric part the goes on the bottom lip of the car seat (does that make sense). What I am wondering is if I need to get a whole new cover or if it is going to be a major safety issue if I just stitch them up. I am planning on calling Graco this afternoon but thought I would ask here first. Thanks all!

    If you are bothered by the holes get a new cover from the car seat manufacture. They'll provide you with the correct one and it will be fine, just like your car seat always had that cover.

    I would replace the cover. How did you wash the cover exactly, some are not machine washable and have pretty exact instructions on how to wash it.
