DH & I didn't think a monitor would be necessary but DD's cries are quiet. We want a monitoring system with video & sound so we can check on her without leaving our bed. Which one would you recommend?
can't help you with the video/sound request, but for what it's worth, we have a Sony basic model - just sound. E is almost 10 months and we have really liked it. I haven't found the need for a video. But that's just me!
We had a video monitor I had won on the Ellen Show and it died after 11 months. They don't even make that particular model anymore, I think because it was so faulty. My SIL's Summer Infant Slim video monitor is still going strong after 25 months.
FWIW, we liked the video when we had it, but didn't miss it once it was gone. We just replaced it with a sound monitor we had for when he spent the nights at grandparents, thinking we would replace it with a new video monitor the next time we made it to Target (which is about twice a week in our house!). Needless to say, it has been a year and we never replaced it.
it looks like a great monitor, but it's not marketed as a baby monitor, so it's cheaper than some. but i haven't seen anyone mention it on these boards, so i dunno. GL
