Hello ladies,
In your opinion is a bumbo seat a must have? It seems every mom that I have spoken to has mentioned this but I live in a 2 bed/2 bath condo in the city and between our booster seat, bouncer and swing it just seems like a lot of chairs.
Thanks for your help!
Re: Bumbo Seat
I received one as a shower gift and he used it maybe three times (briefly, at that). He's sitting up independently now so there's no need for it. I'd say it's not a must-have.
Also, they were recalled for being unsafe (or maybe not recalled, but the company provided safety straps to add in), but I think that's because dumb people were setting them up on tables and other furniture. Still, I wouldn't consider it a must-have by any stretch.
Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

We used ours a good bit with DD, but it's definitely not a must-have.
Like someone else said, don't buy a new one. I see them at consignment stores all the time for a fraction of what they cost new.
Just lurking over here....
Recieved one as a shower gift - used it with DS ONCE to get photos. He was a strong infant and would arch out - and it seemed really dangerous to me. I have a freind however who had a little not very active baby and she used it.
I would say not necessary!

Thank you ladies! I will just plan on borrowing one from a friend down the road if we feel we need it.
Not a must have, especially if you already have a booster seat (assuming you mean for around the house not the car...). Some people use the Bumbo for feeding and in place of a booster.
And yes there has been a recall so if you get one off Craigslist or borrow from a friend just make sure you order the safety belt. Or don't be stupid and put baby in one on the counter or table or leave baby unattended... you know common sense...
