Prenatal Drug Exposure Resources

Hi ladies!

Can anyone give me some good resources for researching prenatal drug exposure?  We are working on making some decisions about what we can or cannot accept, and I know alot of you have already been through this.

Thanks in advance!

  • Me three. I've checked the ones in the FAQ's and they are kinda vague. I want like medical journal studies with statistics.

  • I don't know of any resources for you, but I'm on the mailing list for one of the big local adoption agencies and they are having a seminar next month with a pediatrician with expertise in this field as well social workers familiar with determining what types of situations you are open to. Maybe an agency near where you are will have the same type of program?

If I go and the doctor has recommended resources, I'll post them for people.

  • Our agency held a seminar by Ira J. Chasnoff MD, who has a number of books that may or may not be helpful. Found the books on Amazon.
