Xp: Had my baby boy, 32w6d!

On Saturday night 12-1-12, Elijah Mason was born! I was 32w6d. I had another bleed and it was time. The everything went so fast, the bleed was at 711 pm he was born at 827pm. Dh made it on time too, he was at work!

He came out screaming at 5pounds 5.8oz 18 inches long! He had some trouble breathing and still on the ventilator but is doing very well and hopefully in the next few days they are able to try to wean him down. His sugar was pretty low and so was his blood pressure when he was first born but those things are doing well now. They started TPN tonight on him and will maybe try so breast milk in the next few days as well depending on the ventilator and how he is breathing.

He is just so amazing I am so so in love with our little miracle. I will go home on Wednesday, I am happy to finally go home after 9 weeks but I know it's going to be the hardest day of my life to leave him here. They had originally said 4 weeks before he goes home, I pray they go by uneventful and fast! I am doing pretty good as well, did some walking today. I am having a harder time than most c sections because of the bedrest but I am doing as much as I can, dh has been so so amazing helping with everything. Oh and pumping is going so great so far! I'm so happy about it becasue I feel like I am doing something to help our little man out! I will try to post some pictures tomorrow!

    Congrats!  I was on bedrest prior to delivery (3 weeks at home, 1 in hospital), so I know the feeling of liking the fact you finally get to move around/go home, but wishing that it didn't result from having a preemie. Wishing you a short and uneventful NICU stay!

    Congratulations on the birth of your little guy. Love his name. Praying that he has an uneventful NICU stay and that he is home with you all soon. Please keep us posted.

    Congrats!  Great size!  I was in the hospital for almost 5 weeks on bed rest so I can only imagine how you feeling getting to go home.  It's definitely bittersweet.  Hoping your little man gets off the vent soon and is breathing on his own.

    Congrats! My LO was born at 33w1d and we're playing the NICU juggling act as well. How did you do on Wednesday when you had to leave? That, so far, was the hardest day for me. Hope your LO continues to do well and goes home soon. :)

    Wednesday was really hard!  He is doing so so well and I pray that it stays that way!  I hope your little one is still doing well and on the road to going home soon!
