Trip to L&D yesterday.

So I had some weird pains in my belly on Saturday and felt kind of crappy.  Yesterday I woke up and I was spotting.  I freaked out of course and called my OB who told me to call L&D.  This further freaked me out but I did it and they told me to come in to get monitored.  They just hooked me up and gave me an U/S and turns out LO is just fine.  I do have some huge blood vessels near my cervix and they suspect one of them popped and that caused the spotting.  The chalked the belly aches to round ligament pain and gas/indigestionEmbarrassed. 

It was scary but I am glad everything is okay!  Blood is the LAST thing you want to see when you're pregnant!

    Oh no, I'm sorry you had such a scary/stressful weekend, but glad to hear everything is good for you and LO! Better safe than sorry, I hope you don't feel bad for going in. You were taking care of yourself and baby. Hope you can take it easy, rest up and have NO MORE spotting! :)

    Glad to hear everything is ok with you and LO.  Keep resting and drinking lots of water. 

    I had a horrible dream last night that I was spotting and thought for sure I was losing my babies.  I'm glad it was just a dream, I can't imagine the fear you feel when it's real life!

    That sounds so frightening.  Glad all is OK.  I had to go to L&D on Halloween for my BP.  It was scary but now I am glad that it happened so that I could be sure that I like the hospital that I had chosen.

    Sorry you had such a scare! But you should never ever feel bad for getting things checked out, and it is good to know why you were spotting and (most importantly) that the baby is just fine.
