DS's is Cash, because the scar he was born with on his lip is just like Johnny's.
LO's is Mason. We didn't have a middle name picked out ahead of time, and him coming almost a month early didn't help. We were laying in my hospital bed, looking through names on our phones and it just clicked for both of us.

Her middle name is Esther. It was my maternal grandmother's name. She and I were very close and DH didn't even try and argue with me about it. Unless we had chosen a first name that completely didn't "work" with Esther, that was always going to be her middle name.
After we had her and announced her name, I found out that my grandma's aunt was named Elise and had passed a way only a year or two before...so she was my great-great aunt? Obviously I did not know her. I believe she was around 105 years old when she died, so I like to take it as a good omen.
Anthony, a family name on both sides. It's my paternal grandfather's name (who I never met), and my dad's middle name. It's DH's brother's middle name, from his paternal great-grandfather.

His MN is Jacob. DH wanted a J name, so he could be called CJ if he wants. We never call him that though. If we ever have a girl, her MN will be Mary. Two of our grandmas MN were Mary, and my dads side all has Marie as a MN. It'll be a way to keep the family tradition, while also honoring DHs grandma.
O is Morgan, because I thought it sounded pretty together.
A is James, after H's grandfather whom he never met! I'm a little pissy about this because he wouldn't compromise the middle name and let me add my grandfather's name in. Grumble. H said he wanted a j name so he could call him aj. Whateves.
My girls' middle names are Mae and Marie. Mae we just liked, and Marie is my middle name. DH and I both have middle names starting with "M" and unintentionally gave DD1 an "M" middle name, so now all of our kids will have that middle initial.
Mama to two sweet girls DD1 Feb 2010 DD2 Sept 2011
Catherine. It's my middle name and DH thought it sounded nice with Cara. It's also my mom's first name so she tells everyone that Cara is named after her, which is not the case but whatever!

DS's middle name is Max after DH's great grandmother Maxene. She lived to be 100 and was the neatest lady -- we thought it was a great way to honor her.
No boy names for 2.0 yet... but if we have a girl, her middle name will be Elle after my mother Michelle.
Q's middle name is my middle name. My mom kept her name when she got married to honor her dad who didn't have any sons. She gave her last name to my brother and I as middle names, and I continued the tradition, to honor my mom and grandfather. I don't know if we will give it to our second child or not.

Patrick. we love the name but didn't want him to be called Pat. one syllable names don't work w out last name. it didn't have meaning when.we chose it, but mil was ablr to makrle ties to her family after we chose it. she also just found a family tree and her grandfathers grandfathers grandfather was named Owen...so now its a family name. :-/

Eli. I wanted to name him Samuel after my little brother who was stillborn but DH hates the name. So we went with something biblical that flowed with Maxton. We love it!

Alan. It's his dad's MN and it really flowed well with Carter and our last name. Also, Ex was excited because his initials are GAP and Carter's are CAP. Silly but cute. And I honestly don't regret his MN being after his dad since I do like the way it sounds.

Benjamin and Victoria. No special meaning, but both intentionally strong traditional names in case either decide they don't like their less formal traditional first names down the line.

We don't have one picked for 2.0 yet, but I think it's going to be Marie. I wanted to use a family name on DHs side, but he can't think of anything significant except a common middle name for girls of Marie, which is after his mom's grandmother, Mary.
A's middle name is Victoria. That is my middle name which my parents picked out of a hat when I was two (my sister doesn't have a middle name, and I didn't either until then). They put all the grandmothers' names in a hat, and that is what I got.
2.0's middle name is likely going to be Graham, which is DH's name.

Her middle name is Rose. Lena is after my deceased paternal grandmother, and Rose is for DH's deceased maternal grandmother. Her name was Rosemarie, but Marie doesn't really jive with our last name. Rose is also a family name on his side so it worked for both reasons.
Eva pronounced Ava after my mom. I have my grandmothers first name as my middle name and Aubrey has my mom's. I'm hoping to start a tradition. I'd A had been a boy the middle name would have been my dads first name.

A's middle name is my maiden name. We did that to honor my dad. There are no boys in the family to carry on the name. I think my dad was very happy we did that.

Re: Middle names
DD's is Kaylin ...a smoosh of our mothers middle names, Kay and Lynn
DS's is Bentley. A more modern version of DH's name. Benny Lee.
LO's is Mason. We didn't have a middle name picked out ahead of time, and him coming almost a month early didn't help. We were laying in my hospital bed, looking through names on our phones and it just clicked for both of us.
If we ever have a girl, I have NO idea what her middle name will be...
Elise - We just liked it, no special meaning.
After we had her and announced her name, I found out that my grandma's aunt was named Elise and had passed a way only a year or two before...so she was my great-great aunt? Obviously I did not know her. I believe she was around 105 years old when she died, so I like to take it as a good omen.
Grace.
No special meaning really, it's just beautiful and we loved it. Plus, all of our names have the same initial for first and middle name so she's G.G.
I had this name in mind before I even knew I wanted kids.
O is Morgan, because I thought it sounded pretty together.
A is James, after H's grandfather whom he never met! I'm a little pissy about this because he wouldn't compromise the middle name and let me add my grandfather's name in. Grumble. H said he wanted a j name so he could call him aj. Whateves.

1 is Christopher, it's DH's middle name
2 is Marie. It's my fave deceased grandmother's middle name, my mom's middle name and DH's fave grandmother's middle name.
3 is Joseph because he's the Patron Saint of the family and real estate (our investments)
4 is Andrew because it sounded good
DS's middle name is Max after DH's great grandmother Maxene.
She lived to be 100 and was the neatest lady -- we thought it was a great way to honor her.
No boy names for 2.0 yet... but if we have a girl, her middle name will be Elle after my mother Michelle.
Jean. It's after DH's grandpa Gene who passed a few years ago. Our eventual #2 will have a MN from my family.

Patricia for my mom who I lost when I was 9.

It's DH's first name. In his family the dad's pass their first name on as the middle name.
In my family the girls get their godmother's name as their middle name.
