Pregnant after 35

Had my first OB appt. today!

He said everything looks good... he took a culture and told me that since my last delivery was a c-section that if I want to do one again (which I do) that he is fine with that and they would schedule that at week 39 unless I obviously go into labor sooner.  He said I can't take Diflucan for my perpetual yeast infections (pregnancy side effect) but to just do Monistat.  He said that usually women with FSH levels over 12 do not get pregnant w/o fertility treatments and my number was 15 when we checked my hormones 2 weeks before I concieved!!!  So this pregnancy is miraculous in more ways than 1!  He said that we could do some genetic testing that is only blood draw and ultrasound related... and I'm fine with those.... just not the invasive ones :)  Other than that.... all is well :)

that is amazing!! Glad to hear your LO is so lucky already!!

Can I ask why you can't have the invasive testing (does that mean amnio?) and how he determines the amount of risk to you  or your baby?

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Anything that involves invading the sac (in my opninion) like amnio or CVS is just a personal decision to not do for us since I've heard they can cause miscarriages.  If it's just a matter of an ultrasound or drawing blood that's fine :)

So glad that everything is going well!  I know what you mean about a miracle baby.  I was told I hadn't ovulated, and it turned out I was pregnant!  Doctor's aren't always right with the numbers, thankfully.
