Diaper Pail Recos?

Hello Ladies,

We just decided to add a diaper pail to our registry as we need a trash for the nursery anyways. Are there any that would recommend? Any that take regular trash bags? I would like to avoid needing to purchase special bags if possible.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Diaper Pail Recos?

  • I have a better option.  Skip the "diaper pail" altogether and just get a regular step can.  It is totally unnecessary to have a specific garbage pail just for diapers.

I have a follow up question for you! Do you wrap the diapers in any kind of odor eliminating bag? Or just throw them in? I have seen other posts about these bags but I have yet to find them at target. Thanks!

I don't, but I do know what you are talking about.  They are made by munchkin.

  • we have the diaper genie advanced elite or whatever its called - the one with the step-open. It is awesome, and Id highly recommend it. We only put poop diapers in it, and the pee diapers just go in the kitchen garbage. So that said, we've only gone thru a few cartridges since DD has been born. We get them at Costco, so they're pretty cheap. And it works awesome.

  • We have the diaper dekor. It was cheap (like $30), so the same price as a regular step can, if not even cheaper, and it converts to a regular trash can later on. So far we really like it!

This is my third n with my first I used the diaper genie but trust me having to use special bags gets real old real quick... U run out n it's just another thing to have to stay on top of buying and add up real quick as they are expensive.

  • LittleApple, does it get stinky using a regular step can vs. a diaper pail?

    Thanks!
