rec your mattress

I think I would prefer a foam mattress but the one that we had picked is a bit thick (says 6.2 inches and crib says max of 6 inches).  Is it still fine or should I pick a different one?  What do you recommend?  TIA!

  • A difference of 0.2" is really insignificant IMO so I wouldn't worry, but if you're looking for a different foam mattress, we got the Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams after reading lots of reviews of different ones. This one is lightweight (making it easy to change sheets) but still firm and comfy.

This is what we have, and it's been great.  It's very lightweight, which makes changing DD's sheet much easier.

  • We have Colgate Classica IIIs and love them.  However, if we had to do it all over again I'd just go with the straight Colgate Classica.  The III has a softer side and a firmer side, but we've never flipped them so it was kind of a waste.

I figured as much but I'm also worried the sheets won't fit.  Maybe I'm over worrying and it'll be fine.
