Picking myself up after crying and wife saying that it really has not been that long that we have been trying (8 months feels like forever), we are both 34 but there is still plenty of time (I am impatient). SO I'm trying to look forward to positive things that I can do now that I'm not pregnant.
Are there things you wanted to when you were pregnant and could not? Were there things you did when you were TTC and got a BFN? Were there things that you did after you gave birth that you had missed doing? Right now I want to drink and smoke, and I quit both long ago. So here is my list of "fun" and "good things":
1. Bikram yoga - I'm missing my hot yoga in this cold weather!
2. Hot/tub sauna/spa - going to do this as soon as possible
3. Sushi!!!
4. Whale watching - no fear of getting morning sickness on the boat
5. Kick ass weight lifting class at the gym
Any ideas? Thanks all!
Re: Fun things to do when you are not pregnant
You made a great list!
Things I would love to do but simply choose not to in this stage of life with a 7 month old because it would be difficult/require a babysitter mostly have to do with being "spur of the moment." Everything now requires much more planning, if it is at all possible.
Good lists so far. Here are some more random ideas:
9 IUIs = 9 BFNs
IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen
ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14
*Everyone welcome*
Or you could be on pelvic rest due to IVF-enlarged ovaries and be forbidden to have sex for months whether you want to or not... :P
In other words, another vote for having sex while you can!

Third vote for the sex here! I didn't feel like it at all in the first trimester, spent most of the second trimester on pelvic rest and now in the third trimester, I feel like a beached whale. Beached whales =/= sexy. Plus now I get winded in everything I do.
My list:
- Get dressed up and go out. It takes me way too much energy to get all fancied up that I am exhausted afterwards. Plus pre pregnancy clothes are much cuter/sexier than maternity clothes.
- Go to the wine bar and taste as many as you can. I know i can have a glass of wine but that would just make me mad so drink up now!
- Do something daring like skydiving, rock climbing. I miss being active and now it's just too hard.
I know my list is a bit silly but these are the things I miss right now. Especially at this point in my pregnancy. The things above just aren't happening
Best of luck and have fun with it!
06/12 - BFP!!!!

And then you breastfeed for a year that wrecks havoc on your hormones and kills any sex drive you might have hoped would return. And there you are 2 years later....
