Re: It Just Feels Good

  • I sent a random card to my first landlord and told him how much his Christmas gift meant to me (100$ off our rent). Even though it was 5 years ago I remember his generosity and it makes me smile. I will never forget it!

Oh oh oh. I've been waiting for this post today. Today I helped jump start the neighbors van. It's apparently been Giving her a hard time for awhile and she needs a new battery. I told her to just knock anytime. She was thankful to get off the hill for her appointment. Honestly, this is the best challenge I've ever taken someone up on. Great idea Beca. Great idea!!!

Wow!! That is so helpful Empire. I honestly can say I would maybe not have done the same thing....the last time I jumped another car it killed mine Indifferent GOOD FOR YOU!

I bet she was happy to get off the hill, but also that you said "knock anytime"! It helps to know we have people around us that *could* be there if we need it!

  • Regarding yesterday's post; Missbrightside, that is so nice of you to hook your friend up with baby gear!! I bet you anything she will be pumping and swinging her babies and thinking "what a relief"!

  • Mine are kind of weak, I'm still getting the hang of this.

I let a lady in front of me in line today at the store, even though she had more items than me and I held the door open for a lady with a full cart. Small stuff, but hopefully it made their day a little easier.

She actually doesn't want to pump after she goes back to work so this was a huge savings for them since pumps can be expensive.

Mine today isn't that special but there was a mom who looked super busy at the grocery store. I was going back to my car and she was running around trying to get her cart put away quickly. I let her go ahead of me. She said thank you. I suppose it got her .5 seconds quicker to where she needed to be lol.

  • I gave up my planning period today to cover another teacher's class so she could leave to go see her 3rd grader's school play.  It means I will have to go in early tomorrow to finish up a few things, but it was only 45 minutes of my day and she got to go see her daughter and she wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

    This!

Also, Becca, Do you watch Ellen? She is doing a new segment where a worker (who pretends to be pregnant) "seems" stranded on the side of the road. And anyone who stops to help her receives 500 bucks from her!! I thought of you! What goes around, comes around...and in this case, its acts of kindness!!

  • I didn't do much today, besides go to work, the vet, then home so I don't have anything good.  But I did hold the door for a few people at the vet and got a patent a warm blanket.

I love ready all the kind things, though!  Great job, girls!

  • Great idea Beca.

Today I brought coffee for all the moms at Kai's gymnastics class.  Not really a need, but they all have three year olds.  Coffee is critical.  Lol.

  • Mine is weak as well compared to some of you - just holding doors open for people at daycare, the store, work, etc.

  • I don't know if this apply but today I was suppose to start studying with a friend of mine for an exam I'm suppose to take so I can start classes in August. So there we are when she starts talking abouy some problems she is going through. We are not lifelong friends. I know her because of H and for some time now we have built a friendship. She is the kind of person that looks strong, is not that person who gives a lot of hugs or anything but when I saw her crying I was so caugh up by surprise I just hugged her. I have always said that when there aren't words enough a hug can help. I cannot say "woohoo I'm happy I did something good" is that I just felt that she REALLY needed that hug and I know the feeling of wanting a hug and there's no one to give it.
