  • Rent = $1,800/month, we rent a single family home though so for LA that's not too bad.

    Electric = $100-200/month depending on whether we are using the AC or not.

    Gas = $50/month we use gas for the dryer and stove.  We rarely use the furnace.

    DirecTv = $84/month

    AT&T = $112/month, we have only cell phones so no home phone bill and I mostly use a work cell phone so that's pretty much just for DH's cell phone because he has an iPhone with the old unlimited data for $30/month that I never want to loose if I can help it.

    Sewer/Water/Trash = $100/bi-monthly

  • We live in military housing so rent, utilities, yard maintenance, and trash is paid for. If we were to live out in town I think we would get allotted $1500 for rent and utilities. We make a little money living on base (and saving on gas) so it's not a bad deal.

  • Mortgage: $515 a month. I'm not sure about utilities cause DH takes care of everything online. Very cheap though. It's nice in that regard to live in the midwest.
